Hey guys what's up and as u all know we were having rumors about the Mi6 past couple of weeks but here finally it is launched worldwide. Although its not available for sale yet but Xiaomi has finally announced the device and its proper specifications. Today you are going to get a short description and some of my views about the device. The device was officially launched in a special event in Beijing on April 19th.
Talking about the appearance, the device looks similar to the previously launched Mi5. It covers a curved glass back along with a metal frame design which makes the device more appealing and attractive. The sad part about the glass back is it is a fingerprint magnet i.e. even after 5-10 minutes of usage users are gonna be irritated by wiping again and again the fingerprints from the back of the device. As of now Xiaomi has not mentioned properly if there is gonna be gorilla glass in the Mi6.
The device packs not large but minimal 5.15-inch display and with a massive Snapdragon 835 chipset which compares it with the Galaxy S8 and Sony's Xperia XZ Premium, until June it will be the first device to hit users after the S8. Device comes with a 3,350 mAh battery, dual speakers and an inspired S7 design.
Starting with a price tag of 2499 yuan (23400 INR) which is a bit more than its usual flagships but for the people who are yet struggling over the S8 can consider this far better than S8 comparing to the price tag. It comes with a massive 6 GB RAM for all the multi tasking users and Gaming lovers along with a 64 GB internal storage and another model with a price of 2899 yuan (27200 INR) with a better 128 GB internal storage. The higher-end capacity model also comes in a ceramic edition with 18-karat gold-lined camera for a few dollars more.
The main attraction of the device you can say is its camera. It features a 12MP dual rear camera, matching with the Apple's iPhone 7 Plus and S8's Single Shooter. The twin lenses are provided for a better and wide angle, wide-aperture portrait mode, with a 10x digital zoom, 2x lossless zoom, and optical image stabilization. It is not yet out about the pictures of the camera are better as compared to the S8 and iPhone, but seems quite impressive on the paper.
Now comes about some of the drawbacks in the device. First of all very important point to be noted is there is no 3.5mm audio jack. Looks like Xiaomi is trying to produce devices similar to iPhone or maybe this has a hidden truth :). Next about the sale and purchase, the company says device is gonna hit the markets of china only on the sale happening on 28th April but company has clearly mentioned it wouldn't be late that it hits the international markets although it is gonna be difficult for the U.S. buyers as the company is not sure about the U.S. launch of the device.
Opinions - Should you buy it?
Well i do prefer if you are low on budget and looking for a device with a high end specs as compared to the Galaxy's S8 you should definitely consider Mi6 as an option talking again Snapdragon 835 into consideration and the 6GB RAM is not even in the S8. It is a new era of smartphones and along with time we are going to see new advancements in technology and yes savings are a must.
